The northern state waters of Mustang Island are a strategic area for Sterling. More than 50% of its daily production and reserve base are located here. Sterling operates the majority of these properties and thus has considerable expertise from prospect generation through field development. The company has plans to grow the reserve base in Mustang Island through both development and exploratory drilling. Sterling believes the Texas State Waters have under explored deep gas potential (below 15,000’).
