Sterling Energy has a 90 to 100% ownership in five operated oil and gas pipelines located in both the state and bay waters of the Northern Mustang Island area. This area currently holds greater than 50% of Sterling's US reserve base, thus allowing efficient operations, reduced overhead, and generation of significant revenue from third party users. Currently 35 mmcfepd is transported through this system, with a capacity in excess of 100 mmcfgepd. All of the oil and gas that is transported through the gathering system is processed at Sterling’s North, South and Tejas onshore facilities. The facilities have the capacity to handle in excess of 75 mmcfgpd and have a storage capacity for 10,000 barrels of oil. Sterling anticipates future increases in transportation and processing facility usage at Mustang Island by third party users, hence increasing revenues.
