The EI 268 field is the only production that Sterling currently has in the federal waters of Louisiana. Sterling; the Company has a 60% working interest and is the operator. The well was successfully recompleted in the second quarter of 2005 for 2.8 mmcfg/d. The field’s productive intervals are Lower Pleistocene reservoirs. From September 2003 to present, the well has produced over 1.1 BCF of gas.
